Renault India has widened the Kiger subcompact SUV range with the introduction of a new Evolution+ Turbo variant, priced at Rs 7.89 lakh ex-showroom. The move brings the punchy 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine to a more affordable trim level.
The new variant makes the turbo-petrol powertrain nearly Rs 1.46 lakh cheaper than before, a strategic pricing move aimed at boosting volumes in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment dominated by rivals like the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
The update comes as Renault and Nissan continue to post strong year-on-year sales growth in India through May 2026, driven largely by recently launched models including the Duster and Kiger range.
