Co-Living Spaces Boom in Pune: Why Young Professionals Are Ditching Traditional PGs

Co-living spaces are rapidly reshaping the rental market in Pune. Localities near major IT hubs including Hinjawadi, Wakad, and Kharadi have seen demand for co-living accommodations surge by over 60 percent in 2025-26.

Leading co-living operators such as Stanza Living, Zolo, and OYO Life are expanding their presence across Pune. Fully furnished rooms with high-speed WiFi, housekeeping, laundry, and canteen facilities are available for Rs 8,000 to Rs 18,000 per month, making them a cost-effective alternative to traditional PG accommodations.

Real estate experts believe the co-living model could eventually replace the conventional paying guest culture in Tier 1 cities. The focus on community living, flexible lease terms, and plug-and-play setup makes it especially attractive for millennials and Gen Z professionals.
