Mumbai Housing Market Hits Record High: 80,000 New Flats to Launch in 2026

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region is heading toward a landmark year in affordable housing. According to MHADA, over 80,000 residential units will hit the market in 2026, ranging from 1BHK to 2BHK configurations.

Leading private developers including Lodha Group, Godrej Properties, and Runwal Group are aggressively entering this segment. Flat prices start at Rs 25 lakh and go up to Rs 75 lakh depending on the location and amenities offered.

Real estate experts believe this supply surge will ease Mumbai housing shortage significantly and help the middle class achieve their dream of homeownership. Suburban areas like Virar, Badlapur, and Panvel are expected to absorb the maximum new inventory.
