Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Launch Date, Price, Range and Everything You Need to Know
Maruti Suzuki, India largest automaker by volume, is all set to make its electric vehicle debut with the e-Vitara. The car is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026 and could be a game changer for mass market EV adoption in India.
The e-Vitara will be offered in two battery configurations: a 49 kWh pack delivering approximately 450 km of range and a larger 61 kWh pack targeting 540 km on a single charge. Pricing is expected to fall between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom.
One of Maruti biggest advantages is its unmatched dealer network of over 3,500 outlets across India, which will make servicing and support far more accessible than rivals. The e-Vitara is built on a platform co-developed with Toyota and shares underpinnings with the Urban Cruiser EV.
Industry analysts predict the e-Vitara will significantly accelerate EV penetration in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where Maruti already enjoys tremendous brand trust.
